Mama Soma is an ecosystem of spaces, workshops, rituals and community that supports women in all stages of maidenhood and Matrescence.
Focusing on somatic healing, nervous system attunement, and trauma resolution through stages of preconception, prenatal care, postpartum, and independent of childbearing.
Our Philosophy
We are guided by the sacred rhythms of the female body, trust the wisdom that’s ancient and intuitive, and hold healing space in ways that are mutual, inclusive, and regenerative.
Mama Soma is a home for somatic education, female-perspective nervous system healing, movement, rituals, and community for maidens, mothers, and women from all walks of life, in all bodies.
Mama Soma’s teachings, practices, and community is rooted in Devotion to the Great Mother, embodied in the moving meditation of Motherhood, and teaches from the perspective that the Mother can be a healing energy source for all - those that travel the path of biological mother and those that choose to connect to the Mother Within regardless of physiology.
We believe The Matriarchy is the path to inclusive and sustainable healing, and by connecting to our own bodies to heal and rest, we are planting seeds for our descendants and the earth to return to the ways of relating, communing, and thriving that our bodies sense is the true way.
Molly Rose Finotti
Lead Facilitator & Founder of Mama Soma
Molly Rose Finotti is the lead facilitator and creator of Mama Soma Healing Arts. Previously operating under the name “so within, so it is,” Molly began her journey into her body at 16 years old at a hot yoga class after school. Years of devoted practice led her to complete her 200-Hour RYT Training and soon began teaching yoga full-time for several years. Despite yoga asana being the path that led Molly into a conscious relationship with her body, she knew there was something missing. Molly is extensively trained and certified in many somatic methodologies and bodies of work including the Body Temple Dance method created by Adriana Marie Rizzolo.
Molly’s offerings are rooted in her own direct lived experience as a devoted yogini, perpetual student, and embodied mother. Her methodology of teaching and holding space combine years of individualized practice with herself and her students and clients. Through movement, meditation, somatic release, writing, sound, and community; she’s found that we are all able to find liberation from the chains of stories, traumas, and environmental stressors that keep us hidden from our Inner Self.
